Lady J Huston (pronounced Houston), a native of St. Louis, MO, is a highly acclaimed, multi-award-winning vocalist, trumpeter, songwriter, recording artist, & entertainer extraordinaire. Performing Soul, Blues, Jazz, R&B, & Gospel, with vocals ranging from tenor to 1st soprano (operatic style). Voted Most Talented Female & Valedictorian in H.S., she received scholarships to the Univ. of Kansas & Howard Univ. (Dean’s List) majoring in Music Theory/Composition, eventually earning a B.S.B.A. degree from the Univ. of Redlands (CA). 

In 2023, Lady J released her first full-length album “Groove Me Baby” with 12 tracks (9 originals). It’s a powerhouse Blues album receiving rave reviews & awards. In addition to her extensive performance career, she is now focused on developing as a recording artist.  The album has garnered her a win as ”New Artist Debut Album” from the Blues Blast Magazine Music Awards, the NITA Award “Blues Icon” Honoree, and Hollywood Independent Music Awards Nominee.
A child prodigy dancer, she performed on shows with her mother/promoter, Loyce P. Huston, a captivating contralto Jazz, Soul, Blues, & Gospel song stylist who helped launch the careers of many local entertainers.  

Lady J sang with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Johnnie Johnson (Father of Rock ‘n Roll Piano), then toured with the legendary Albert King as trumpeter, vocalist, & music director. They appeared on PBS’ “Maintenance Shop Blues” and shared stages with greats such as B.B. King, Millie Jackson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Etta James, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy & others. 

While living in Las Vegas, she formed the band “Lady J Huston & The Fireballs” headlining in showrooms, festivals, opening for national acts, and winning multiple Blues awards which led to her reign as “Las Vegas Queen of Blues”. 

“THE LADY J HUSTON SHOW” debuted at the National Blues Museum in St. Louis (where she currently resides) presenting an electrifying blend of Las Vegas pizzazz with the sass of St. Louis Blues, Classic Soul, & Jazz. Performing in festivals, clubs, various venues, private and corporate events.
